With over 50 years in the music business I’ve heard them come and I’ve heard them go, so when I was asked to listen to Darin MacDonald I expected to hear just another piano man wandering through a dozen oldies. I could not have been more pleasantly mistaken.

They say the “the song is the horse son which the artist rides to fame.” If that’s true, then Darin is riding only thoroughbreds. The songs books of Bruce Hornsby, Carole King, and Elton John and just a sampling of the works Darin performs on his new CD. Backed by piano performances that could stand along, Darin delivers each composition with his own fresh cool interpretations.

Journey down Beal Street with Elvis and Carl Perkins as Darin sings Marc Don’s hit, Walking in Memphis, or listen to Thunder Road, rate as one of the top rock tunes ever. Darin takes this Springsteen classic and makes it his own.

When it comes to then music of Darin MacDonald, the only thing better than listing to his CD is to hear him perform it live.

Enjoy!
